Hello Again

Hello again.
During the past month I haven't been making videos, a lot have gone on in my life.
-I was the female lead in my school's production of "It's A Wonderful Life."
-I've had family health issues
-I had my own health issues
-I developed myself a lot as a person.

I discovered new things about my interests, style, and all around persona. I think I have changed pretty dramatically in who I am. I also went through a phase where I was so exhausted, I barely wanted to did anything but lay around or sleep. I didn't have the will to go out or even make a Youtube video. Yes, I still barely sleep the correct amount of sleep, but now I can cope with it and I am able to function more. Now that the show is over and I no longer have rehearsals, I hope to get more sleep and have more time for school and Youtube.

Designer Dupes

So, while watching a recent StevenStyle haul video, (check out his website-why can't he be my BFF?) Steven hauled a new Proenza Schouler iPad case. Usually, I would have coveted the item and bowed down to his good taste, but this particular bag caught my eye in a different way. I had seen it before. At Target. *GASP* How dare I suggest a fine piece of high fashion be similar to the poor quality of Target's infamous brand, Xhileration? Well, the bags are pretty similar in appearance...

And now, my readers, it is time for a BATTLE OF THE BAGS! (dun dun dunnn) Quality vs Quantity

In this corner, we have the lovely Proenza Schouler iPad Case. This bag is made with Genuine Leather and retails for $685. (YIKES) It can double as a clutch and leaves all fashion-lovers drooling in its wake. I myself would die to get my hands on one of these, but I am only 14 and I also don't own an iPad, so it would be extremely impractical. I obviously can't talk about the quality or how it feels because I've never touched it, but I'm sure we can all agree it would be pretty damn nice.

In this corner, we have the (it really can't be described as 'lovely') Xhileration by Target Crossbody bag. This bag is made of vinyl and retails for $24.99 (can't we just say $25?) Although it wont make every fashion editor want to be you, it does actually seem to be nice for the price of the bag. This is an obvious choice for the inspiring fashionista (ahem, ME!) who can't have the real stuff, but wants it all the same. I'm sure the bag feels cheap and poorly made, but hey Forever21 feels just the same.

I most likely will be picking up this bag on my next Target trip because I want to test the bag out to see how it holds up.

Overall, the bags are very different even if they are close in looks. They have different functions, prices, quality, and really speak to a different crowds. Although they do have one thing they have in common: they are for the most daring, bold, & balsy.

What's In My School Bag-Organization Tips & Tricks

So, I was very bored this Saturday night at my dad's house. (I did this AFTER doing all of my homework, so that gives you an idea of how truly fun-deprived I was.) After watching multiple NikkiTheBrat organizational videos and scouring her website for the latest school tips, I decided that I would write a very detailed blog post on what I carry everyday to school with me.

Here's my favorite thing right now: Five Star Flex Hybrid Notebinder

It's amazing because it can open like a binder, but it has paper and is used for taking notes. You can put your handouts in and use it as a binder and notebook, or just a notebook like I do. Either way, I'm sure every school-supplies fanatic (ahem, me!) would be in love with it to!

Here's an example of what I mean by "opens like a binder":

Overall, I hope this helps with your organization of your school bag! Have a happy second semester and study hard for finals! (what am I...your mom? Just keep thinking about how the year is halfway over! Woo, Summer!)
